Onset Holiday Card - 2017
Onset Ventures’ holiday card is their yearly form of self promotion, and is well known throughout Silicon Valley and the venture capital community. The client wanted the cover to be reminiscent of the art deco poster for the classic movie “Metropolis”, and for the design of the card to be a spoof of Instagram called "Onsetgram". A tall narrow format that folds out vertically was used for the card to mimic the action of scrolling through Instagram. Since the illustrations are set in different global locations, my hope was for each to have the quality of an Art Deco travel poster.
